Young Athlete Academy uses personal information only to respond to enquiries, arrange coaching, manage athlete support and communicate with parents or guardians.

Who is responsible for the information
Young Athlete Academy is run by Martin Gallyer. For questions about this notice or the information held about you or your child, contact Martin by phone or WhatsApp using the contact details on the website.
Information we may collect
This may include parent or guardian name and contact details, the athlete's age, sport, training goals, enquiry messages, attendance information, assessment notes, training notes, PAR-Q or health screening information, and relevant injury or medical context shared by a parent or guardian.
Children's data
Young Athlete Academy works with young athletes, including under-18s. Information about a child is normally provided by a parent or guardian and is used only to assess suitability, plan safe coaching, communicate with parents, and support the athlete's development.
Information about young athletes is kept limited to what is relevant for coaching, safety, communication and safeguarding.
How information is used
Information is used to answer enquiries, decide whether Young Athlete Academy is a suitable fit, plan safe and appropriate coaching, manage bookings, and keep parents informed.
Health, injury and safeguarding information
Health, injury and medical information can be sensitive. Young Athlete Academy only asks for information that is relevant to safe participation, training decisions, injury awareness or appropriate referral to a medical or sports physiotherapy professional.
Safeguarding-related information may be recorded where necessary. It may be shared with an appropriate professional, safeguarding body, emergency service or legal authority where this is needed to protect a child or meet a professional, insurance or legal responsibility.
Online enquiry forms
Website enquiries are processed through Formspree. Formspree receives the details entered into the website form and forwards them so Martin can respond. You can read Formspree's privacy information at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Please avoid sending detailed medical records through the website form. If health, injury or medical information is relevant, it can be discussed directly where appropriate.
Cookies and external services
This website does not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or embedded third-party widgets such as an embedded Google Map.
Some links may take you to external services, such as Google Maps, WhatsApp or Formspree. Those services may use their own cookies or similar technologies once you visit them or submit information through them. Their own privacy and cookie notices will apply.
If Young Athlete Academy later adds analytics, embedded maps, advertising tools or similar non-essential tracking technologies, this notice will be updated and any required cookie consent controls will be added before those tools are used.
Who information may be shared with
Information is not sold. It may be shared with Formspree for website enquiry handling, with a trusted sports physiotherapist or medical professional if a parent asks for support or gives permission, or with safeguarding, emergency, insurance or legal contacts where necessary.
How long information is kept
General enquiries that do not become ongoing coaching relationships may be kept for up to 12 months. Athlete coaching and administration records may be kept while the athlete is involved with Young Athlete Academy and for up to 7 years after the final session.
Health screening, injury, incident or safeguarding-related records may be kept for longer where reasonably needed for safeguarding, insurance, legal or professional reasons.
Your rights
Parents or guardians can ask what information is held, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, or ask for information to be deleted where it is appropriate to do so. Some records may need to be kept where there is a safeguarding, insurance or legal reason.
