Current / Former Athletes

Success for us is improvement, confidence, forming positive habits, and often County/Regional/National call-ups. However, it could be a young athlete getting a new Personal Best (PB), a local club athlete getting their first County team/squad selection, or an academy footballer making their debut for the National team. We can't put all athletes that have made step change improvements on our website as there are too many.

Some stats (as of 2021)...

600+ athletes assisted since 2010

17 sports

60+ Elite Squad and National Level Call-ups

We are rooting for all our athletes. We couldn't show all our athletes so below is just a snippet of some of our high achiever athletes who have given their permission to share their stories:

Callum Doyle
Football - England U19 (first call-up 2021)

Callum started with us aged 11 in 2014, training with his older brother, other academy footballers along with some 1-on-1's. He overcame many challenges, the first was dealing with Osgood Schlatter Disease during his growth. His training program concentrated on instilling basic fundamental skills, strength and body control with speed-agility added later.

Just because he was at a high level does not mean we skipped straight to advanced or 'fancy' training... he committed to doing the basics well.

After 4 years Callum's training commitments to his club (Manchester City) increased and regular training became difficult. Though Callum 'graduated' some time ago he still gets support and visits to train with head coach Martin Gallyer. The picture is an Instagram story Callum shared in 2021.

In 2021 Callum got his first England call-up (U19) and a loan move to Sunderland and became a regular starter in the first team at center back.

Kimani Mellius
Cricket - West Indies U19 Captain for ICC U19 World Cup 2020

Kimani and Martin (head coach) met during their time with West Indies Cricket U19 where Kimani was Captain for ICC U19 World Cup 2020 and Martin was S&C. Kimani is from St. Lucia (Caribbean) but travelled to the UK in 2021 basing himself in the North West near the school gym we use (small world eh?).

During his time Kimani finished with the most runs for his Club (1062), which included 2 centuries with a highest score of 162 and 5 half centuries.
This totally was also the 2nd highest aggregate of runs in the entire League.

Now back in St. Lucia Kimani plays professionally with the Windward Islands Volcanoes.

Amy Clinton
England Netball (U17, U19, U21) | Superleague and National League Netball (Manchester Thunder, Loughborough Lightning, Celtic Dragons, Leeds Rhinos, Oldham Netball Club)

Amy's story is one of dedication, hard work and overcoming challenges. Amy started S&C at 13 years old in 2010. Amy would admit that she is not a 'natural athlete' for example when she started S&C she was unable to hold a front plank position. Many exercises were adapted and Amy got started plugging away at S&C.

Amy was told many times on her journey that she would not make County, Regional or England level because she wouldn't be able to develop the strength and fitness required for elite level.

Amy won National Championships with her club Oldham Netball Club three times, one of these was in a team playing a 'year up' (i.e. they were all aged 15 and won the U16 championships). Amy got selected County, then England Region and then missed England selection due to an insufficient hop score, she trained hard and achieved the scores needed and got selected for England the next time. Amy has been called-up at U17, U19 and U21 level for England Netball and has played Superleague Netball for a number of franchises.

Anyone looking for inspiration for someone overcoming adversity, never giving up, or for a role model of hard work leading to success can look to Amy Clinton.

Daniel Kiss
Hungarian National Foil Fencer (previously on GB fencing world Class Program)

Danial started training with us in 2010 as a budding young fencer aged 11. During his training he progressed from a child who had instabilities in bodyweight movements to an accomplished athlete. He was the youngest athlete ever to be called-up to the UK Sport World Class Program via British Fencing aged 13 (he still might hold that accolade). In his first testing session with the World Class Program squad he broke all but one of the physical testing records, at the time he was aged just 14. Daniel now fences for Hungary and is looking toward competing at the Olympic games.

Emily Cavanagh
Competes Nationally for City of Salford Trampoline Club

Emily confidence and ability has improved vastly since training with us. From struggling with light goblet squats to now often helping with demo's for more advanced exercises.

Emily competes at National Championships and is looking forward to showing her skills once competition commences again. On the trampoline her 'time of flight' performance score has improved greatly meaning she scores higher and gets more time to execute skills.

We are not sharing social media details due to being U18.
